Responsibilities
&
Costs

When joining a choir program it is important to know what is expected. Here is the information you need to make the best decision for your family.

  • Who should attend an information and placement session?
Placements are open to all boys and girls 2nd through 12th grade. Kinder, 1st, and 2nd graders do not need to attend a placement and can register for Poco Voce.
  • Is there a cost to attend an information and placement session?
No! The information and placement session are FREE.
  • Is there a cost to participate in PCC?
Yes. The fees vary by choir, and more information can be found here.
  • What if I’m unsure if I can afford your program?
Fear not! We have an extensive tuition assistance program that might be just right for you. Tuition assistance is awarded based on application and need. Please contact the office at (602) 534-3788 or email info@pcchorus.org for further information.
  • Where do the information and placement sessions take place?
Auditions will take place in the same location where the program rehearses: Premier Program: Phoenix Bible Church (6060 N. 7th Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85013) Voices Northwest Valley: Highland Lakes School (19000 N 63rd Ave, Glendale, AZ 85308)
  • Does my child need to prepare anything for the placement?
There is nothing to prepare before the placement. During the placement your child will work directly with a member of the artistic team singing through some warmups and learning a new song. We will teach and guide them through the entire process.
  • Does my child need to have a music background?
PCC has a place for choristers at all ability levels. We are looking for children who have a clear and pleasant singing voice, who love to sing, and can match pitch.
  • How will I be notified after the information and placement session?
Everyone will receive an email regarding choir placement for your child within a few days of the information and placement session.
  • If I haven’t received an email, does that mean my child wasn’t placed in a choir?"
Absolutely not. We will communicate with you regardless of your child’s choir placement. It is possible the email was marked as spam or that there was an error. Please check your junk mailbox or contact us at info@pcchorus.org.
  • What choir will my child be placed in?
Choir placement is determined through a combination of age, voice type, musical aptitude, and rehearsal skills.
  • When does the choir season start and how long is it?
Our choir season mirrors a typical school year. We start weekly rehearsal in August and finish mid-May. We take a holiday break for several weeks in December.
